The Firework and Clambake event hosted by Sandy Beach Association kicks off the Centennial fundraising drive to remodel the current bathhouse at Sandy Beach. Tiryaki Architectural Design has been working with the Sandy Beach Association on the design for a new multi-purpose beach house for Sandy Beach. Some of the features the new bathhouse would include are an area to sell snacks and beverages, an updated bathroom and changing facilities, handicap accessibility, a gathering area for relaxing and finding shade, increased storage and offices for the lifeguard staff. The footprint would not be expanded, but the space redesigned and reconfigured to meet the current needs of the patrons and staff of Sandy Beach. This fundraising campaign will offer options for donors to have their names inscribed on paving stones, which will be featured on the interior floor of the newly renovated Sandy Beach House. The Sandy Beach Association is asking all Cohasset residents to support Sandy Beach in honor of its Centennial birthday and to consider a special gift to raise the money needed to renovate the bathhouse.
Online donations can be made through the website at wwwcohassetsandybeach.com or checks can be made out to Sandy Beach Association and sent to PO Box 285 Cohasset MA 02025.
