I am just returned from assessing the condition down there. The feeling is that the tide will take out much of the seaweed over the next few days. In the meantime, the beach is open and swimmable. (The water is tested on Tuesdays so we may have to deal with beach closing on Thursday when we get the results.) High tide is at 3 pm but for now, the New England spirit has taken over and everyone seems to be dealing with the smelly seaweed with smiles and in differential attitudes. – SBA boardmember
